The INSTRUCTOR

Dr. Faraj Edher is a specialist in Prosthodontics and the founder of Transcend Specialized Dentistry, a multi-specialty clinic in Downtown Vancouver.


He received his dental degree from the University of Sharjah College of Dental Medicine and then continued his Masters in Craniofacial Science and post-graduate specialty training in Prosthodontics at the University of British Columbia.


In addition to practicing full-time in Vancouver, Dr. Edher is an active educator. He is the Founder of Canada’s largest study club, the BC Dental Study Club, and a Clinical Assistant Professor and guest lecturer at the University of British Columbia.

Day 1

09:00 – 10:00: Introduction and Overview

10:00 – 11:00: Treatment Planning, Case Selection, and Patient Communication

11 – 12:00: Smile Design 

  • Principles of Aesthetic Smile Design
  • Photography and facial scanning
  • Virtual smile design tools

12:00 – 01:00: LUNCH 

1:00 – 1:30: Shade selection and lab communication

1:30 – 2:15: Indirect mock up

2:15 – 4:30: Veneer preparation

  • Guidelines and techniques for veneer preparation
  • Hands-on exercise: Veneer preparation through mock-up

4:30 – 5:00: Wrap-up and Q&A

Day 2

9:30 – 10:30: Intra-oral scanning & Traditional impression taking

10:30 – 11:30: Veneer Temporization

  • Techniques and best practices
  • Hands-on exercise: Veneer temporization

11:30 – 12:00: Post-temporization assessment

12:00 – 1:00: Lunch

1:00 – 1:45: Material selection

1:45 – 3:00: Veneer try-in and bonding protocols

3:00 – 3:30: Veneer inserts Hands-on

3:30 – 4:00: Maintenance

4:00 – 5:00: Wrap-up and Q&A
