1. Describe the key components of a systematic occlusal examination and identify clinical signs that warrant intervention versus monitoring.
 2. Compare the indications for using maximum intercuspation (MIP) versus centric relation (CR) as a reference position, and outline the analog and digital techniques used to capture each.
 3. Recognize when to maintain versus increase the vertical dimension of occlusion, and apply these decision-making principles to common restorative, implant, and appliance scenarios.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
