Two Days. Complete Anterior Workflow.
HANDS-ON MASTERY.

This intensive two-day program takes you through the complete anterior implant workflow — from initial diagnosis and aesthetic risk assessment through digital planning, guided surgery, soft tissue management, immediate temporization, emergence profile development, and definitive restoration.

Achieving natural, predictable results in the anterior zone is one of the greatest challenges in implant dentistry. It demands more than surgical skill — it requires systematic case selection, precise 3D implant positioning, advanced soft tissue management, and a meticulous restorative workflow. This program gives you the complete framework, step by step.

You won’t just learn the theory. You’ll work through every critical step hands-on — from guided implant placement and connective tissue grafting on models and pig jaw specimens to immediate provisionalization, custom emergence impressions, and intraoral scanning.

The principles taught are system-agnostic and applicable to all implant platforms.

Who Should ATTEND

Already Placing Anterior Implants?

You’re treating anterior cases and want to elevate your outcomes. Learn advanced soft tissue management techniques, digital planning and guided surgery, custom emergence profile development, and modern temporization workflows that improve predictability and aesthetics.

Ready to Start Placing Anterior Implants?

You’ve completed implant training and are confident with posterior or straightforward cases. Now you’re ready to take on the aesthetic demands of the anterior zone. This program gives you a structured, comprehensive approach — from patient selection and risk assessment through surgery, temporization, and definitive restoration.

Prerequisite: We recommend that all participants have foundational implant knowledge or clinical experience — including familiarity with treatment planning, CBCT interpretation, implant placement, and single-unit prosthetics. Graduates of the BCDSC Implant Training Program or comparable programs are well-prepared for this course.

What Makes This Program DIFFERENT

Complete Anterior Workflow, Start to Finish

This isn’t a lecture on one piece of the puzzle. You’ll learn the complete anterior implant workflow — from diagnosis and aesthetic risk assessment through guided surgery, soft tissue management, temporization, emergence profile development, and definitive restoration.

Dual-Expert Instruction

You’ve completed implant training and are confident with posterior or straightforward cases. Now you’re ready to take on the aesthetic demands of the anterior zone. This program gives you a structured, comprehensive approach — from patient selection and risk assessment through surgery, temporization, and definitive restoration.

Hands-On Soft Tissue Grafting

Go beyond lectures on soft tissue management. Perform connective tissue grafting on pig jaw specimens under direct specialist supervision.

Two Temporization Pathways

Master both the workflow for having a pre-fabricated screw retained temporary, in addition to same-day 3D-printed provisional screw retained crown fabricated through a fully digital chairside workflow.

Aesthetic Risk Assessment

Develop a systematic approach to anterior case selection and patient communication. Learn to evaluate smile line, tissue biotype, bone morphology, gingival architecture, and patient expectations before committing to treatment.

Custom Emergence Profile Development

Master both digital and physical techniques for developing ideal emergence profiles — including custom healing abutments, digitally designed provisional crowns, and custom emergence impressions.

Small Group, Expert Instruction

Limited to 16 participants to ensure meaningful hands-on time and direct interaction with both instructors throughout the program.

What You’ll LEARN

Diagnosis & Aesthetic Risk Assessment

Patient evaluation for anterior implant treatment. Smile analysis, tissue biotype assessment, bone morphology, gingival architecture, prosthetic space, and patient expectations. Risk classification and case selection. Presenting treatment options for case acceptance.

Anterior Implant Prosthesis Design

Single-tooth implant restorations and anterior bridges. Cement-retained versus screw-retained options. Custom abutment design (titanium and zirconia). Material selection for anterior crowns. Emergence profile planning. Pink porcelain considerations for soft tissue deficiencies.

Digital Planning & Guided Surgery

Virtual implant planning for optimal 3D positioning in the aesthetic zone. CBCT and intraoral scan integration. Surgical guide design and 3D-printed guide fabrication. Pre-fabrication of provisional restorations through the digital plan.

Surgical Protocols

Extraction protocols and socket assessment. Immediate implant placement. Guided implant placement in the anterior zone. Optimal positioning for long-term aesthetics. Bone grafting principles. Flap design and soft tissue management. Immediate loading criteria.

Soft Tissue Management

Connective tissue grafting techniques. Custom healing abutments — design, fabrication, and placement. Tissue contouring and emergence profile development through provisionals. Peri-implant soft tissue optimization. Managing tissue through healing and restorative phases.

Temporization & Provisional Phase

Immediate provisionalization protocols. Pre-fabricated temporary workflow. Same-day 3D-printed provisional crown via digital workflow. Other temporization techniques. Provisional design for soft tissue sculpting. Post-operative management.

Definitive Impressions & Records

Intraoral scanning workflow. Custom emergence impression techniques — both digital and physical. Shade selection and communication. Records transfer to the laboratory.

Final Prosthesis & Lab Communication

Custom abutment selection and design. Crown material selection for anterior aesthetics. Pink porcelain applications. Lab prescription writing, digital design review, and quality control. Insertion protocols and aesthetic evaluation. Occlusal considerations.

Complications, Maintenance & Long-Term Success

Surgical and prosthetic complications in the anterior zone. Managing aesthetic failures and soft tissue recession. Recall protocols, maintenance strategies, and long-term follow-up.

Frequently Asked QUESTIONS

Who is this course for?

This program is designed for dentists with foundational implant experience who want to develop or advance their skills in anterior implant treatment. Whether you are new to anterior implant placement or looking to refine your aesthetic outcomes with advanced techniques, this course provides a complete, structured approach.

I’m already placing anterior implants. Will I still learn something new?

Yes. Advanced soft tissue management, connective tissue grafting, custom healing abutments, digital planning and guided surgery, custom emergence profile development, and same-day 3D-printed provisionalization represent the latest evolution in anterior implant treatment. Even experienced clinicians consistently report gaining practical techniques they can apply immediately.

What level of experience do I need?

This is an advanced program. You should have foundational implant knowledge and clinical experience — including comfort with treatment planning, CBCT interpretation, implant placement, and single-unit prosthetics. Graduates of the BCDSC Implant Training Program or comparable programs are well-prepared.

Does this course cover only single-tooth implants?

The primary focus is single-tooth anterior implants, but the program also addresses anterior implant-supported bridges. The principles of aesthetic risk assessment, soft tissue management, and digital workflows apply across both scenarios.

What implant system is used?

Hands-on exercises use Nobel Biocare implant systems and components, with DTX Studio Implant for digital planning. However, all principles and techniques taught are system-agnostic and applicable to any implant platform.

Will I actually get hands-on experience?

Yes. This is a hands-on program, not just a lecture course. You will perform guided implant placement on typodont models, connective tissue grafting on pig jaw specimens, fabricate immediate provisionals, take digital impressions with an intraoral scanner, create custom emergence profiles, and fabricate custom healing abutments. Hands-on exercises are integrated throughout both days.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellation is subject to the BCDSC cancellation policy. Please refer to the website for details.
